Head coach Phillip Cocu made a satisfied impression at the press conference after ADO Den Haag - PSV (2-3). According to the coach, PSV closed the season in characteristic fashion through Georginio Wijnaldum's late winning goal.
Season concluded in style according to Cocu
"We ended a fantastic season in characteristic fashion," Cocu said. "We came to take the three points to improve the club record. We knew it wasn't going to be easy. At times there were sloppiness in our play, the game went up and down. ADO was dangerous a few times, but we also had chances. Up front we didn't quite have our sights set, I think Luuk de Jong could have been top scorer. Still, we got back up after falling behind and continued to believe in winning. Then you score for the umpteenth time in the very last second this season. We couldn't end it nicer, I'm very happy," Cocu concluded.
Fraser compliments ADO
ADO Den Haag head coach Henk Fraser enjoyed the attitude of ADO, which took the lead twice. "First of all, I want to congratulate PSV with the championship and now with this victory. We wanted to give them a hard time and tried to make it a nice game. It's always frustrating to lose like this, but I can't blame my players for anything. They did everything they could. We are now going to enjoy a vacation after a tough and difficult season. I am convinced that we will come out of that stronger," Fraser said.
