Mauro Junior is not expected to be around for the next few weeks. So reports Head Coach Roger Schmidt Friday afternoon at the press conference ahead of the game with Fortuna Sittard.
Possible end of season
"Mauro suffered an injury to his knee during a training session. Analysis at the hospital showed that he did not tear a ligament, but we expect him to be out of action for eight to 10 weeks. It is unlikely that he will be in action this season. Fortunately, however, surgery does not seem necessary," Schmidt said at the press conference.
