Thanks to a strong first half, Young PSV took three points in the away match against Helmond Sport. Standouts Sekou Sidibe and Mike van de Meulenhof pulled off the win.

Double strike Sidibe
Early in the first half, Claudio Gomes comes up with the first danger of the match but his shot bounces off the Helmond goalkeeper. Young PSV is the team that opens the scoring after Robin Schoonbrood delivers a good pass to Sekou Sidibe who slides the ball inside. Schoonbrood accounted for the second goal ten minutes later. Jordan Teze put the ball into the midfielder's feet with a low cross. He did not hesitate for a second and made it 0-2 with a placed shot. Sidibe determined the halftime score. He tapped in from the changeover on a pass from Amar Catic.

Helmond comeback
After halftime, Young PSV is dangerous on two occasions but attempts by Sidibe and Ngonge fail to materialize. It is Helmond Sport that scores first after halftime. Ferry de Regt works the ball in after a corner kick. Later, the Helmonders scored their second, again after a corner kick. Young PSV's lead narrowed to just one goal. Young PSV was kept on their feet by some fine saves by Mike van de Meulenhof.
