Psv U21 failed to take any points against De Graafschap. Twice Peter Uneken's team gave away the lead.

Leading
The first danger of the match came through Cyril Ngonge. The striker was well served by Chris Gloster but failed to score the opening goal. He later came back with a placed shot that flew at goalkeeper Hidde Jurjus, who is currently playing for the Superboeren on a rental basis from PSV. Richy Ledezma came very close midway through the first half but his placed shot went just wide. Captain Jordan Teze managed to prevent an outbreak by the away team with strong defensive work. Five minutes before half time Yorbe Vertessen broke the spell. The Belgian played himself free, cut inside and rounded off the ball unerringly to make it 1-0.

Comeback
De GraafschapIn the second half, De Graafschap started with the initiative. Yanick van Osch was surprised by the Achterhoekers and could not prevent the equalizer. A combination of Shurandy Sambo and Noni Madueke created danger on behalf of Young PSV, but no goal came from it. Later, the same Madueke came very close to scoring the 2-1 with a nice hooded move, but his effort hit the post. Halfway through the second half, Young PSV got closer and closer to the goal. Ngonge went close on two occasions but hit Jurjus. Peter Uneken brought in Sekou Sidibe for an offensive substitution. The strategy proved to work as it was the same Sidibe who regained the lead and made it 2-1. The lead was short-lived, however, as De Graafschap scored the equalizer soon after. Psv U21 almost made it 3-2, but in the end De Graafschap took advantage of a quick break and put the game away, 2-3.
