Psv U21 finished its last league game victorious. Rayhi signed for both goals for Young PSV, which remained unbeaten for the ninth time: 2-0.
First half: Jong leads deservedly
For Young PSV the last league match was on the program on Friday evening at sports complex De Herdgang. Jong received FC Volendam. Although the first chance was for the visitors, Young PSV took the initiative. Jong managed to open the score after nineteen minutes through Rayhi. He was able to pick up the ball just outside the penalty area and shot the ball into the bottom left corner, out of reach of goalkeeper Zwarthoed: 1-0. Most of the danger in the first half came from Van Overbeek. He put Quekel in position several times, but luck was not on his side. An almost unmissable ball on the goal line failed to go in and again the goalkeeper turned his effort away. A bigger lead after 45 minutes would have been more than deserved.
Psv U21 closes season with win
Early in the second half, Rayhi was close to scoring his second goal. His shot went over the bar and out of the goal. After that FC Volendam got better in the game and created a number of chances. Luwas was able to shoot in, but Loof prevented the ball from crossing the line. Moments later the same Luwas was dangerous. This time Bertrams had a good save to turn his shot away. The devil of the second half was in the closing stages. Rommens slid in excellently and shot at goal from well outside the penalty area. Goalkeeper Zwarthoed had all the trouble he needed to tap his shot out of the goal. Yet Young PSV managed to double the score. Van Overbeek was sent off, made his move in the penalty area and neatly kept the overview. He saw the free Rayhi and signed for his second of the evening: 2-0. It was immediately Rayhi's last action.
