PSV U21 still has to wait for its first victory of the season. Coach Peter Uneken's team went down 3-0 against FC Utrecht.

Unnecessary backlog
Under summer conditions, PSV U21 started the match in the Dom city against their FC Utrecht peers very well. Uneken's formation immediately took the initiative, but this did not lead to any major chances.

After half an hour the home team took a surprising 1-0 lead. Jonas Arweiler shot hard at goal and Lars Unnerstall could not get a grip on the ball. Young FC Utrecht attacker Rayan El Azrak was able to take advantage. On the stroke of half-time PSV U21 had a gigantic chance for the equalizer. Sekou Sidibe escaped the offside trap, but his shot hit the post.

Few chances
Also in the second half, PSV U21 had more ball possession. Substitute Olivier Horvath created the first danger, but the home goalie kept his goal clean. Just like in the first half, Jong FC Utrecht managed to score surprisingly. This time Christopher Mamengi was allowed to head in freely from a corner: 2-0. With almost twenty minutes left on the clock Christopher Mamengi decided the game: 3-0.
