PSV Women lost 4-0 to Manchester United on Wednesday and is thus eliminated from the UEFA Women's Champions League. Yet there is still hope: the team still has a chance to qualify for the European Cup. Fenna Kalma and Myrthe Kemper-Moorrees look back on the loss and look ahead to the game to come.

Fenna Kalma's comeback was one of the few bright spots in the game against Manchester. The striker made her first minutes of the season after an injury kept her sidelined during preparation. "It was short, but I'm happy to be back on the pitch, building rhythm and helping the team. Still, I'm mostly focused on our goal: we want to advance in Europe and that has to happen this week."

We have to reach the next round. There is no other option'

Fenna analyzes the match: "I think we showed good football at times, but against such an opponent mistakes are punished mercilessly," the number nine states. "That is precisely why it is good to play matches like this. At this level you can't make mistakes and you have to reward yourself. The important thing now is that we don't get stuck in this and come back sharp on Saturday."

Myrthe Kemper-Moorrees also joins in. "The next match is already ahead of us. We have seen today that it all has to be a little bit faster: a maximum of one or two touches. That is different from what we are used to, but where we have to go. We are not yet where we want to be, but we also showed good things. It was a lot better than against FC Twente. We go into Saturday with all confidence. We have to reach the next round. There is no other option."
