Brand new PSV player Fenna Kalma has a great match ahead of her: on Saturday PSV Women will take on FC Twente Women, Fenna's old team. However, there are no double feelings about winning against the Tukkers: "That's the way football is and that's not a problem."
How are your first days at the club?
"Very good, I have received a very warm welcome. It's a nice group of girls, who can also play fantastic football. The environment and the facilities here are fantastic, so my first days were great."
What do you hope to add to this team?
"I want to become important to this team as soon as possible. As a point of play up front, in the sixteen, but also with goals and assists. The most important thing now is for me to get into the flow of the team first. They have all been playing together for longer, so I have to find my rhythm in that."
What do you hope to achieve here?
"For now just playing games, because of course I haven't played much for six months. I still have to have talks with the coach to really set goals, because we haven't had time for that yet. But also what I just said, going with the flow of the team. And of course scoring goals."
'We're a good team with a good plan and playing at home, so we're going full out for the win'
Did you follow the Azerion Women's premier league a bit during your time at VfL Wolfsburg?
"Yes, not closely or anything, but I definitely watched matches."
You obviously already have premier league experience and you come from Wolfsburg. What is the biggest difference between the leagues?
"The physical part. In Germany, everything goes just a notch faster. There those girls are so top fit, that's a difference."
A premier league topper against your old club. What do you expect from them?
"FC Twente is an excellent team, so it's definitely going to be a great match. We have a good team and we are playing at home, so we will just go full for the win."
How are you going to fight them?
"We have a good plan and good players, so I'm confident. I haven't been there that long, so I'm not quite the right person to speak for the team yet, but I think if we reach our level we should be fine."
Are you going to run into some old friends?
"Definitely, although they have also selected through so there are also new girls. But there are also a lot of girls I do know, so that's nice."
But no hard feelings if you win against them?
"No, FC Twente will always hold a special place in my heart, but I play for PSV now. That's the way football is and that's not a problem."
