As they left the pitch, the faces of all PSV players looked like thunder. Thanks to a late equalizer by Bersant Celina, they saw the gap with Ajax and Feyenoord rise to 4 and 7 points respectively at FC Twente on Thursday night, five rounds of play before the end.

"A goal like that actually throws everything away," was Phillip Cocu's telling comment afterwards. The head coach emphatically sought the blame on PSV itself. "We brought this on ourselves," he felt. "In the last fifteen minutes something didn't sit right with me. I couldn't sit down quietly," Cocu told FOX Sports. "We have to blame this on ourselves. Look in the mirror. We had second place in our own hands, now it's getting harder and harder."

Willems defeated
Jetro Willems also sought to blame PSV for the point loss. "You have to play a game like that in a businesslike manner. We should have just shot the ball away. This is very sour, I wonder what we have to believe in now," the defender said in front of FOX Sports' camera.

At the press conference afterwards, Cocu added that he saw his team start very sharply and after a setback - the setback goal - he was still able to pull himself up cleverly. "When we took the lead, nothing seemed wrong for a long time. Until the last ten minutes," he bemoaned. "We have fought our way back this season, resulting in a small chance at the championship. We should never have given it away like that."
