FC Utrecht aims for the left row

For FC Utrecht the league is going rather unevenly so far. Good victories against Vitesse and PEC Zwolle are somewhat offset by point losses against Willem II and Excelsior. It is up to coach Erik ten Hag to bring stability and guide FC Utrecht to the left row this season.

FC Utrecht on a roll
That PSV has to watch out for the strength of FC Utrecht is clear, especially in view of the past matches of the Dutchmen. FC Utrecht won the last two Eredivisie matches, away at PEC Zwolle (1-2) and last weekend at home against FC Twente (4-2) and in between also eliminated cup holder FC Groningen in the KNVB cup tournament. Moreover, in the thirteen games (all competitions) FC Utrecht played this season, the team did not score except on a visit to Excelsior. Phillip Cocu's team is therefore warned.

Nacer Barazite unloads promise at
One of the players PSV must take into account is Nacer Barazite. The midfielder scored his third premier league goal of this season last weekend. The Arnhem native played in the youth of N.E.C. and left for Arsenal at the age of 16. The London club allowed him to mature at Derby County and Vitesse, but a breakthrough did not happen. Austria Wien acquired Barazite and after a successful stay in Vienna, Barazite signed for AS Monaco. In the summer of 2014, Barazite returned to the Netherlands with FC Utrecht, where he seems to be growing into a valuable force this season.
