PSV qualified for the group stage of the Europa League on Thursday night at the expense of Apollon Limassol by winning 0-4 in Nicosia. ''You score seven times in two games, keep the zero twice. That's a very good result from a European perspective,'' Van Bommel looked back with satisfaction.
Stable
PSV scored four goals kept the zero for the fourth time in a row. So the head coach is happy and sees his team becoming more stable. ''You have to stay patient. We have a young selection and therefore it is sometimes a bit erratic. You have to be consistent and disciplined in defending. If we can manage that, we have a lot of quality to make the difference. You see that if you stay patient and make the 0-1, then you also score more goals.''
The team travels back to Eindhoven tomorrow and will prepare for the league match against RKC starting Saturday.
