Phillip Cocu looked back on the 3-1 away victory over Go Ahead Eagles with a satisfied look. Speaking to FOX Sports' camera, he said his battle plan turned out as he had anticipated. 'We didn't let them play football for a minute.'

'Few minutes needed after goal against'
At FOX Sports, Cocu especially praised his team's approach to play. "We put a lot of energy into the match. We tried to put pressure constantly. After the goal we needed a few minutes to recover, but we did well. I saw three fine goals."

He did feel, however, that his team should have decided the game earlier. Even before the equalizer. "If we had made the 2-0 earlier, the game would have been played," said Cocu, who did not want to talk about title chances. "We are fighting for second place in the first place. Hopefully this win will bring us closer to Ajax."

Siem de Jong
Cocu saw Siem de Jong sign PSV's first goal of the evening from the spot. The midfielder was preferred to Marco van Ginkel, who could only play if the need arose. For a moment it seemed that way, when De Jong was dealt a hard charge. Nevertheless, he played on.

"There's a nice scratch on it, but I immediately felt it didn't go through," De Jong told FOX Sports, where he also said he was happy to be able to contribute again. "And I'm also token that Luuk scored again. I could have made one more myself maybe. Hopefully the competition will lose points again tomorrow."
