On his starting debut for PSV, the midfielder immediately showed what he has to offer. With three successful dribbles and eleven passes that initiated an attack, he was a constant threat to the opponent. His attacking intentions also spoke volumes; with 30 passes forward, he played an important role in the team's creative play. He also stood his ground defensively. He blocked two shots, made four tackles and worked the ball away from his own sixteen once. Despite the physical nature of the match, he kept his cool; he made only one foul and got one in himself.
