Stijn Kuijsten has extended his contract with PSV through the summer of 2028. The 18-year-old goalkeeper is also making a permanent move to PSV U21. These are two significant milestones for Stijn, who has been part of the PSV Academy since the U12 level.

Stijn’s journey with PSV began in 2018. Six years later, he signed his first professional contract, and he has since signed a new deal. Over the past two seasons, the goalkeeper has been a member of PSV’s U19 team, with which he also made his debut in the UEFA Youth League. In addition, he has been named to the matchday roster for PSV U21 on several occasions.

Next season, Stijn will officially join the reserve team. “I’m really looking forward to it. I’m also looking forward to working with Stijn Schaars again, because I still know him from my time with the U16s,” says the Dutch U19 international. “I’ve been with PSV for almost ten years now, and I’m incredibly happy that I’ll be staying for at least two more years.”

Technical Manager Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink is pleased with the goalkeeper’s development. “Stijn has earned this step. Over the past two years, he has developed exceptionally well. He made his debut in the [UEFA] Youth League, became a youth international, and has already had a taste of professional football. Now it’s important to continue that upward trajectory. We will, of course, support him as best we can in that process.”
