Roy Sturgeon has opened and extended his contract with PSV. Initially, the commitment expired in mid-2025, but two years have now been added. The 19-year-old goalkeeper transferred from Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the winter of 2023.

Roy Steur began his football career in the youth of RKAV Volendam and further developed his talent at AFC Ajax and Bayer 04 Leverkusen, before making the move to PSV. On April 17, 2023, he made his professional debut for Young PSV in an exciting match against Jong Ajax, which was lost 5-4.

Sturgeon is looking forward to his future in Eindhoven service. "I want to continue to develop by getting minutes and training hard. Last summer I learned a lot during the training camp with PSV 1. I would like to continue that line here," said the Volendam native.

Technical Manager Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink of Young PSV sees a talented goalkeeper extended. "Roy has made nice steps in his development over the past year and a half. He has qualities on the line, in the air and on the ball. Therefore, we are happy that he will be a PSV player for the next three years."
