PSV is battling FC Utrecht for a place in the last four of the KNVB Cup tournament on Thursday night at 8:45 p.m. At sports complex De Herdgang, head coach Phillip Cocu looked ahead to the game in which Marco van Ginkel could make his debut. "He is match-fit," he said.

Cocu will have a virtually fit squad on Thursday. Only Maxime Lestienne, Andrés Guardado and Stijn Schaars are not available, according to the coach. That automatically means that Marco van Ginkel, PSV's newest addition, will be available. "He is match-fit," the coach was clear about the midfielder's employability. "But whether he plays, we'll see tomorrow. He also has to adjust to our way of working for a while, but will quickly master that. He knows the Dutch style of play, of course." Cocu further left open exactly which position Van Ginkel was brought in for. "He can play in all three positions in midfield. It is a multifunctional player."

About opponent FC Utrecht, Cocu spoke with respect. "FC Utrecht is a really good team. A young one, but with good organization. They are going through a good season. The coach has really done something there," said Cocu, who will not only face FC Utrecht with his team on Thursday, but will also meet the team on Sunday in the Eredivisie. "I'd rather see that differently. Playing against the same team twice so soon after each other is a bit strange. Tomorrow's game may affect Sunday's game, but it's the way it is. We play every game to win and tomorrow is about a place in the semifinals. We want to be there."
