Brainport Eindhoven removes the name 'Metropolitan Region Brainport Eindhoven' from PSV's shirt for once and replaces it with 'the story behind the shirt'. This gives the partnership a world first with the longest shirt print ever.

In no less than thirteen lines of text, the story behind the cooperation between the Dutch top companies Philips, ASML, VDL Groep, Jumbo Supermarkets, High Tech Campus Eindhoven and PSV is told. Players and former players around the world have committed to the story by signing the exclusive shirt. These shirts will be made available to PSV supporters through a win-action on Onsverhaalachterhetshirt.nl

"This is the story of the club that we are proud of, but also the strength of Brainport. In good times and in bad, we support each other. Because working together is in our nature. Through this innovative collaboration we can show that to even more people," said Paul van Nunen, Brainport Development director. "The cooperation between the five companies, Brainport and PSV is unique. Since the summer we have been busy fleshing it out in terms of content. For us, this campaign is the kickoff of concrete projects whose results will become visible to everyone in the coming period."

'Collaboration is in our nature'
The five companies share a major challenge: attracting and retaining talent. They also want to jointly invest in the business climate and the health of employees and residents of Brainport Eindhoven so that the national and international appeal of the region is strengthened. With the help of PSV as the connecting factor.

PSV icons and ambassadors Ji-Sung Park (South Korea), DaMarcus Beasley (United States), Sun Xiang (China), Luuk de Jong (from Spain), Kalusha Bwalya (Zambia), Ritsu Doan (Japan), Francisco Rodriguez and Carlos Salcido (Mexico) already drew attention to this special action in the run-up to the match against FC Twente at the Philips Stadium. "When I came to Holland, I didn't know much about Eindhoven," explains Carlos Salcido. "But soon I found out that it is a very special region. In Eindhoven they invent and make things that you find all over the world. Everyone can be proud of that."

Metropolitan region Brainport Eindhoven
Under the name 'Metropoolregio Brainport Eindhoven' the top Dutch companies Philips, ASML, VDL Groep, Jumbo Supermarkten, High Tech Campus Eindhoven have joined PSV as premium partners starting from the 2019-2020 season. Together, the companies have the ambition to put the Brainport Eindhoven region even more prominently on the map as a world leader in knowledge, high-tech and innovation.

"Unity makes power. That is the story of our club, but also the strength of this region. Our region. Because cooperation is in our nature. That was well understood over 125 years ago by Philips. In technology region Brainport Eindhoven we work smartly together as thinkers and doers. There is no place in the world where so many new ideas are born every day as here. Together, we invent and make complex machines and innovative products that make the world a better place. Not for nothing are we called the smartest region in the world. While we look at how things can get even better, the world looks at how we do it, because Brainport Eindhoven is where we help each other get ahead. Where companies create new jobs at all levels. And where we all want to contribute in our own way. So for those who are wondering why the logo of Philips, ASML, VDL Groep, Jumbo Supermarkten or High Tech Campus Eindhoven is not on the chest of our pride PSV, the answer is simple: the cooperation between these top companies and PSV is the ultimate example of how we conquer the world together as one region. Now and in the future, on and off the field and with everyone who lives here. Because Brainport belongs to all of us, just like our PSV. This is Brainport Eindhoven. And this is our story.
