No team, except PSV, won as often at Philips Stadium as Feyenoord. 21 times in 68 encounters on Eindhoven soil no less. It is one of the reasons that a win over Feyenoord is always extra cherished by PSV fans. But they also become so because the victories are often achieved in spectacular fashion, such as the 7-2 of 1996.
Spectacle
Anyone who thinks back to last year's championship will quickly point to Feyenoord home as one of the crucial duels. The explosion of joy on and off the pitch after Memphis' 4-3, deep in injury time. The perfect counterattack at the perfect moment, just moments before the final whistle. But whether that was the most spectacular encounter between the Rotterdammers and PSV in Eindhoven is highly questionable. What to think of the 10-0 in 2010 or the 3-3 in 1998, in which PSV led 3-0 after the first half, but gave away the certain victory after halftime. Even earlier in 1991, an unleashed Romário makes it 6-0. The Brazilian passes goalkeeper Ed de Goey four times. Something John Bosman and Gerald Vanenburg both do once that day.

Quick deficit
Once, De Goey has to swallow more setbacks. On October 20, 1996, PSV seemed to be heading for a difficult evening. Barely two minutes into the match, Henrik Larsson appeared in the penalty area of PSV goalkeeper Jan Willem van Ede and worked the 0-1 in. However, it is the prelude to a football show from PSV. Feyenoord had to deal with seven goals. One more beautiful than the other.
Football show
The equalizer in the 38th minute is the most beautiful. It is the centerpiece of the football show PSV put on that day, with Wim Jonk being the start and finish of a PSV goal, voted one of the most beautiful PSV goals of all time in 2005. After a long pass to Luc Nilis, the ball reaches Marciano Vink. He chops the ball behind his stance into the sixteen, after which René Eijkelkamp also lays his heel ready for the incoming Jonk. The Volendam player then finishes in an extremely controlled manner. Current head coach Phillip Cocu scored twice during that game. The other goals are scored by Nilis (penalty), Zenden, Pahlplatz and Degryse. Zwijnenberg also scored on behalf of Feyenoord.

PSV lineup:
Van Ede; Vampeta, Stam, Valckx, Cocu, Vink (68. Pahlplatz), Degryse, Jonk, Zenden, Eijkelkamp (45. Van der Weerden), Nilis (62. Petrovic).
