PSV enters another league match on Saturday after the European victory in Belgrade. The match in Breda earlier this season went off without a hitch. Thanks to goals by Ricardo Pepi, Ismael Saibari and Johan Bakayoko, the main squad won 3-0.
Even in the last five meetings, there has been no trouble for PSV. No point has been lost, with a goal difference of nineteen goals for and three against. The standings are clearly in PSV's favor. The victory in November was the 64th win against the Breda side. Nineteen times PSV lost, and eighteen times the match ended undecided.
The last time NAC Breda visited the Philips Stadium was in the 2021-2022 season for the quarterfinals of the TOTO KNVB Beker. Then the visitors were as good as outplayed after one half. Roger Schmidt's PSV scored three goals before halftime: (Mario Götze 2x and Noni Madueke). In the second half, Johan Bakayoko made his debut for PSV 1 and Cody Gakpo shot the final score on the scoreboard: 4-0. PSV won the TOTO KNVB Cup that season.
The previous league match at the Philips Stadium between PSV and NAC Breda dates back to March 9, 2019. Back then, PSV won 2-0.
