The two teams drew 2-2 at Philips Stadium on March 3. Malik Tillman gave PSV an early lead, but the Rotterdammers turned things around to take a 2-1 lead. Guus Til scored the equalizer in the 71st minute, leaving both teams to settle for one point.

PSV is usually strong in the last game of the calendar year. Four of the first ten end-of-year matches were lost, but since then the team has only gone down four times.
