The important clash with number three Feyenoord is on the program. PSV travel to Rotterdam-Zuid for the penultimate away game of the season - an encounter that invariably guarantees goals.

Earlier this season, PSV closed the first half of the season convincingly with a big 3-0 win over Feyenoord at home. Led by Peter Bosz, PSV outclassed the team of then coach Brian Priske. Goals by Noa Lang, Luuk de Jong and Malik Tillman sealed the victory. The most recent premier league encounter at De Kuip took place in 2023, in which PSV triumphed 2-1. Within three minutes, Ismael Saibari (65') and Olivier Boscagli (68') struck. A late goal by Santiago Giménez still brought Feyenoord back into the game, but PSV stood firm and booked the win in Rotterdam.

Match statistics
The statistics speak in Feyenoord's favor. In the 68 mutual duels at De Kuip, PSV won only thirteen times, while drawing 22 times. Feyenoord won 33 times. PSV scored 87 goals and conceded 115.

Goal-fest
The duel with the club from the port city usually guarantees goals - especially in De Kuip. In the last eight Eredivisie games between Feyenoord and PSV in Rotterdam, both teams managed to find the net each time. The last time that didn't happen was in the 2015-2016 season, when PSV triumphed 2-0. At the time, Héctor Moreno and Luciano Narsingh were the goal scorers on behalf of PSV.

List leaders
Offensively, both teams are running at full speed. Igor Paixão scored eight goals in his last seven games and provided two assists. On the PSV side there is also an outlier: Ivan Perišić has scored seven goals and provided two assists in the past six games on behalf of PSV. Not surprisingly, both teams easily found the net: Feyenoord scored 15 times in the last five games, while PSV already reached that number in four matches.

Familiar faces
PSV has several players in the squad with a past at Feyenoord. Guus Til immediately impressed during his only season in Rotterdam by becoming the club's top scorer with fifteen goals. Tyrell Malacia went through Feyenoord's youth training and was a regular in Rotterdam between 2017 and 2022. Rick Karsdorp also has a long history with Feyenoord.

In addition, head coach Peter Bosz also has a Rotterdam past. He wore the Feyenoord shirt in his playing career, where he became national champion once and won the TOTO KNVB Cup three times.

Feyenoord
Feyenoord currently occupy third place in the league table. The gap between the two teams is five points. Robin van Persie was appointed coach of the Rotterdammers in February.
