The Orange Lionesses won the European Championship qualifier against Russia 2-0. In Eindhoven, there was a starring role for former PSV player Daniëlle van de Donk, who played her 100th international game. PSV players Katja Snoeijs and Aniek Nouwen saw Van de Donk score against the Russians. Today they return to the club.
Orange O23 wins duel
Joëlle Smits, Naomi Pattiwael and Kayleigh van Dooren played a duel in and against Sweden with Oranje O23. They drew (2-2) and won (0-4), with Smits accounting for a total of three goals. Van Dooren gave an assist on one of the goals. The three PSV players made minutes in both matches.
Orange O19 to Elite Round
Dana Foederer and Lisan Alkemade had a successful international week with Oranje O19. The team qualified for the next round of EC qualification after wins over Montenegro (9-0), Ukraine (4-1) and Ireland (6-0). The PSV'ers started two games in the starting lineup and Foederer scored a goal in the game against Ireland.
Other European Championship qualifiers
Belgium, with Julie Biesmans in the base, won the European Championship qualifier in Romania 0-1. Midfielder Rachel Cuschieri lost the European Championship qualifier with Malta against Italy (0-2). Iceland won the EK qualification game comfortably from Latvia (0-6), Anna Kristjansdóttir remained on the bench. Defender Dominique Bond Flasza is playing a CONCACAF Olympic qualifying tournament. She won with Jamaica over Cuba (12-1), Barbados (0-7), St. Lucia (0-11) and will be in action today against VS Virgin Islands. Goalkeeper Cecilia Santiago returns after a training camp with the Mexican team.
