Richy Ledezma has found a new club. The 24-year-old American leaves for Mexican Club Deportivo Guadalajara, also known as Chivas. This brings an end to his stay in Eindhoven after six years.
Richy came over from Real Salt Lake Academy in 2019 and immediately impressed at PSV U21. A year after his arrival, he made his debut for the main squad, but partly due to injury a definitive breakthrough was still to come. In 2023 he was then rented out for a year to New York City FC, where he made his debut in Major League Football.
Solid value
In 2024-2025 the attacking midfielder still developed into a fixture for Peter Bosz's formation. Not in his familiar number ten position, but as right back. In his final season, he played 38 more matches, bringing his total to 62 for PSV 1.
At PSV, the one-time United States international won two national titles, a cup and a Super Cup.
