PSV acquires Dennis Man immediately from Parma Calcio 1913. The 26-year-old left winger signs a contract for four seasons in Eindhoven and will be presented Tuesday morning during the open training at the Philips Stadium.
The 35-time Romanian international has played for Parma for the past four and a half years, having been acquired by the club from FCSB (formerly Steaua Bucharest). He was a key contributor with goals and assists in Serie A, but also played in the 2024 European Championship with the Romanian national team, for example. Late last year, he was named Romania’s best player, a prestigious title also held by Romanian football greats such as Adrian Mutu, Christian Chivu, and Gheorghe Popescu.
"When my agent called me and told me that PSV were interested, I immediately said: let's go," Man said in his first interview at the Philips Stadium. "This is a club every ambitious player wants to come out for. I know many players who have played here. Madueke, Gakpo, Xavi Simons, Ronaldo ... I could go on and on. PSV is a club with a great history and competes for prizes every season. I want that too. I'm very hungry to go full throttle every game and win a lot of prizes with PSV. I can't wait to start."
Extra creativity
Man is PSV 1's seventh summer acquisition so far, after Nick Olij, Ruben van Bommel, Alassane Pléa, Yarek Gąsiorowski, Matěj Kovář and Kiliann Sildillia. Earnest Stewart is happy that with Man once again PSV was able to attract a player who was high on the wish list. "We wanted to add some extra creativity to our attacking line, and with Dennis we will definitely get that," the PSV Director of Football Affairs told me. "He is a very good dribbler, who can immediately start helping our team with goals and assists. In addition, with Dennis we bring in a lot of experience on the highest international stage. We are very pleased with this acquisition."
