PSV Women took three points in the away match against ADO Den Haag. The number last of the Eurojackpot Women's Eredivisie still resisted handsomely. In the end Liz Rijsbergen dismantled the resistance with a world goal.
In the pouring rain, PSV Women did not get into the right rhythm in the first half. Some mistakes in the back line even allowed ADO to take a 1-0 lead. The home team failed to capitalize on a number of chances. PSV hardly created anything themselves, so they were lucky to be 0-0 at halftime.
Second half
After tea a different PSV came out of the dressing room. Although the game was not yet optimal, Roeland ten Berge 's team started to impose its will more and more. Still, the 0-1 fell from the sky: Liz Rijsbergen shot the ball fantastically into the crossbar from a great distance. After that relief, PSV hardly got into trouble in the back. ADO had one more chance to equalize, but saw the effort disappear into the side netting.
In the final phase, it was again Liz who was important. She escaped the defense and managed to reach Lore Jacobs via an ADO player. Lore easily worked the ball in: 0-2. This victory keeps PSV firmly in third place in the league.
For Renate Jansen it was her 300th game in the Eredivisie. A wonderful milestone, on her birthday, which also makes her a record holder. Another bright spot was the return of Aniek Nouwen. Aniek had been sidelined with an injury the past few weeks, but came on for Emma Frijns in the 65th minute.
