Peter Quispel has signed a new contract. With this he is fixed until the middle of 2026. The defensive midfielder will play for PSV U21 from next season.
Peter joined PSV Academy in 2019 and immediately impressed at PSV O14. In the following years he continued to grow at PSV O17 and the then O18. His development did not go unnoticed: in 2023 he signed his first professional contract. Last season, the right-legged defensive midfielder showed his qualities with PSV O19. With that he won the Otten Innovation Cup and the national title last year.
"Peter is a modern 'six'. He is strong on the ball and comfortable in small space. With his creativity he is able to shift the game quickly," said Technical Manager Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink. "Because of his footballing intellect, he is very valuable in midfield. He will get the chance to develop further at PSV U21 next season."
Peter is looking forward to showing his qualities with the pledge team. "I am extremely happy with the confidence of the club," he says. "I have been out for a long time with an injury, but I am determined to go bang in PSV U21."
