Aniek Nouwen signed a new contract with PSV on Thursday. The 18-year-old defender is now linked to the club until 2020.
Surprise
During her contract signing, the talented Nouwen was pleasantly surprised by none other than former PSV striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink. The former striker was invited to attend the formality because Nouwen was a big fan of Vennegoor of Hesselink as a young girl. "This is an incredibly beautiful day for me, I won't forget this," spoke a surprised Nouwen.
'Confidence'
"It gives a lot of confidence that PSV is eager to keep me here," she continued. "I want to be important for the team by defending well or scoring goals. The latter is going quite well this season. It's always nice to have an extra quality like that." Youth international Nouwen signed her first contract with PSV in 2016.
