PSV started the match well but the first chances were for FC Twente. The crosshairs of the Twente players were not yet sharp so these chances were not exploited. The score was opened by PSV. Jur made it 1-0 in the 10th minute. PSV combined well and could always find the free man in midfield. Nevertheless, FC Twente scored the 1-1 goal in the 19th minute. PSV did not let this get them down. PSV continued to play well and could easily find the free man. This resulted in a goal on the stroke of half-time. Mohamed signed for the 2-1 with a shot.

FC Twente immediately put PSV under pressure at the start of the second half. PSV found it harder to find the free man. In this phase of the match PSV could not create any chances. PSV did get the opportunity to extend the score through a penalty kick. Dylan was brought down in the sixteen-meter area. However, the penalty kick was shot against the post and the ball was then cleared. FC Twente had a predominance in this phase of the match but real chances were not created by the Twente players. In the final part of the match, PSV took control again. This led to two more goals. In both the 54th minute and 60th minute, Heritier shot the ball into the goal. The final score was therefore 4-1.

A very useful practice match for both teams. Despite the result, both teams were evenly matched.
