Match report:
Today the first "real" match of the new season, although the result suggests otherwise. No doubt Fortuna had come to Eindhoven for this cup match with naughty intentions. In the first half Fortuna could still keep up reasonably well, although the PSV goalkeeper did not see a single green and yellow shirt.
In the second half, the gate really opened. PSV turned the throttle fully open. The goals fell like ripe apples from the tree. Fortuna was completely overrun by good combination football.
PSV used all its qualities; Power, Speed and Football technique. The referee allowed Fortuna to save the honor in between, but the counter stayed in double digits for PSV. A very good start, then.
Next week, the first league match at home against JVOZ, the strong football academy of Zeeland.
