  1. Match report

PSV started this match well and immediately put Helmond Sport under pressure. After three minutes the good play was rewarded. Gioele took a corner kick from the right and Chahid headed it in 1-0. PSV kept going but could not prevent the equalizer. After a breakaway from the left the ball was shot high into the far corner 1-1. Less than a minute later PSV took the lead again. From a corner kick from the left the ball was shot in by Tim. Chahid headed the ball onto the crossbar and in the rebound Livano headed in 2-1. After a quarter of an hour it was equal again from a distance shot 2-2.

PSV also played well in the second half. Halfway through, Helmond Sport took the lead from a beautifully played tikkie-takkie goal 2-3. Now PSV managed to equalize quickly. On a pass from Thijn Jesper was free to shoot in front of goal 3-3.
Not much later Helmond Sport took the lead again. From a corner kick from the right a free striker headed the ball in 3-4. Shortly afterwards it became 3-5 because we were not paying attention at the back. Out of nowhere the ball just rolled over the goal line.

In the third half, PSV started to get tired. And that is not strange because PSV gave everything in this match. A distance shot made it 3-6. PSV did something back once more. On a pass from Chahid, Thijn was free in front of the goal and he shot 4-6. The final score was set by Helmond Sport. From a corner kick PSV couldn't get the ball away and it was well put in 4-7.

Today PSV showed that they can play well under pressure and we are proud of that. We enjoyed this match and want to compliment you on the effort and the way you resisted. The opponent was a year and a size too big. Well done.
