PSV B1 earned a 4-1 victory against FC Utrecht B1 on Saturday. PSV B1 started the match strongly and took a 1-0 lead in the 5th min. Lennerd Daneels scored on a pass from Martijn Berden.
In the 17th min the score was doubled. After a good attack through the right side Martijn Berden passed the ball. At the 2nd post Matthias Verreth was able to take the ball and he shot the ball convincingly into the goal.
FC Utrecht could do something back in the 25th min. After an inattention in the PSV defense an FC Utrecht midfielder was able to take the ball and shoot under Yanick van Osch.
PSV recovered well and through good field play some good chances were created. It was Dani van der Moot who brought the margin back to 2 in the last minute before halftime. Matthias Verreth was able to pass a deep ball just before the back line to the head of Dani van der Moot. Half-time score 3-1.
In the 2nd half FC Utrecht went in search of the tying goal. PSV was forced back into their own half but did not get into trouble.
As the 2nd half progressed PSV regained control of the match. This resulted in the 4-1 in the 80th min. Martijn Berden gave his 3rd assist of the afternoon and Matthias Verreth scored his 2nd goal.
Next week Friday, December 6, 2013, PSV B1 will play an away game against Willem II/RKC B1.
