The match was played on Friday night in Nijmegen.
PSV started the match extremely strong and super sharp which made NEC completely unable to get a grip on our play. High concentration in the build-up, very nice attacks, fantastic individual actions ensured that we had a 0-3 lead after 20 minutes. And it could have been even more. Robin from a corner, Yasin reacting alertly and Justin assessing a cross well were the goal scorers. Unfortunately, NEC managed to make it 1-3 from a sparse counter after poor defending on our part. Half-time score 1-3.
In the second half the game turned completely on its head. A NEC that started to put pressure very aggressively and we as a team made wrong choices on the ball ensured that the home club had the best of the game. Still Cody managed to make it 1-4 through a nicely placed ball. NEC also created some chances and managed to score 1 more goal which made the final score. 2-4.
