PSV did not start the match well. Already in the 1st minute PSV lost the ball unnecessarily and Nuenen immediately punished 0-1. Shortly afterwards it became 0-2 from a corner kick. PSV then lost the ball twice due to misplay and Nuenen scored twice. After 15 minutes the score was 0-4. Only after 20 minutes PSV did something back through Jesse Giebels who headed in from a corner kick by Gioele 1-4.

Halftime 1-4.

PSV wanted to put things right after halftime but it was Nuenen that extended the lead. A counter shot made it 1-5 and 1-6. Then it was 1-7 for Nuenen from a corner kick. Then PSV got into the game a little better. Martijn placed a shot to make it 2-7 and Jesse took a header from a corner kick to make it 3-7.

Today PSV went wrong on several fronts. The build-up did not succeed and the play was sloppy. We are disappointed with the start of the game but proud of the end. Nevertheless, a justified defeat for PSV and congratulations to Nuenen.
