The championship match against the always tricky Geldrop was on the program today.
The away game against Geldrop F1 was also won by PSV F1 but the
Geldrop players did not give up easily then.
The match:
The weather was dramatic, rain, rain, and more rain, but the play of our boys was magnificent. Pretty soon PSV got into the lead through a fantastic combination of Dani, Quinn, and Yorbe, the last named finally scored.
The ice was broken! Gas on!
Pretty soon after that Quinn scored, after a sharp cross from Damain, and less than 2 minutes after that a dribble from their own half. 1-2-3-4-5-6 man past and a hard drive by Yorbe. The score is now 3-0 and the game was actually already played after 12 minutes of football.
Good example follows good example, also Quinn made a fantastic dribble and scored the 4-0.
Geldrop F1 could not force anything in front of the PSV goal in the first half. Shurandy and Mathijs were defending as a block and well organized. Because of this, our goalkeeper Victor was actually superfluous in the first half.
At halftime, the score was 4-0. The coach addressed the players at halftime and actually wanted to see more goals, why, among other things for the parents who were watching in the rain!
The second half started. Through a quick 1,2 from Thijs and Damian, Yorbe was once again put in position, and kicked in the 5-0. Geldrop had no chance to catch their breath.
Dani scored the 6-0 3 minutes later through a brilliant individual action.
Geldrop was now mentally and physically broken, the 7-0 and the 8-0 were scored by Yorbe.
PSV F1 played football like were champions.
Victor our goalkeeper had also had almost nothing to do in the second half, he decided to play the last few minutes. Dani created a corner and Victor again went forward.
The corner was taken, and like a real "striker" Victor headed the ball behind the Geldrop goalie.
9-0 final score, champions, on to champagne, French fries and cake!
