PSV had a lot of ball possession from the beginning of the match. PSV was the dominant side from the start. RBC mainly tried to score through fast breakaways. Neither team created any chances in the early stages. The first opportunity to score was for PSV after 15 minutes of play. After a nice PSV attack the ball was shot in front by Heritier. PSV became stronger and put RBC on the defensive but they could not really get dangerous. This was mainly because PSV combined well up to the penalty area but after that wrong choices were made. Real chances were hardly created. When PSV lost the ball, RBC made some good changes. This did not create any chances for RBC either. The score at halftime was 0-0.

In the second half RBC started to put pressure early on. PSV came out well and in the 38th minute the first big chance for PSV came. A nice deep pass from Amin released Jeremy in front of the goalkeeper. However, his effort was turned away by the RBC goalkeeper. PSV continued to combine well and in the 44th minute the opening goal came. Heritier pushed forward on the left side of the pitch. His cross went past everyone. Jur kept the ball inside and played it back to Mohamed. With a nice move Mohamed played himself free and shot into the far corner, 1-0. Two minutes later the score was doubled. A deep ball from Djurre reached Jeremy. With a curve ball over the RBC goalkeeper from the edge of the penalty area Jeremy shot the 2-0. After this goal, RBC was pushed completely on the defensive by PSV. The opportunities PSV got to score were not taken. The final score was 2-0.
