Although a tough game against a defensive team was expected -WillemII/RKC occupies the penultimate place on the league table and scored only 3 goals in the league so far- the B2 thundered effortlessly over the home team on Saturday in the traditionally difficult away game in Tilburg. With the knowledge that the opponent is very difficult to score and PSV has averaged 2.5 goals per game so far this season and thus always scores, the message of trainers Kristof Aelbrecht and Jurgen Dirkx was simple. Assume one's own strength at all times and play one's own game.

PSV did not really need to rise to great heights to take the win, and converted the clear field advantage into goals with apparent ease. As early as the 1st minute of the match, Karim Bannani put striker Joey Konings in position with a good assist, who immediately chased the ball high into the Tilburg goal from the turn. With Vincent Bogaerts and Arnaut Groeneveld tapping in after a good breakaway and a scrimmage after a free kick, respectively, and a nice long-distance shot by a Tilburger that sailed over Mike van de Meulenhof into the goal, the counter stood at 1-3 at halftime.

The second half showed the same picture with a dominating PSV, which not only became dangerous by creating chances but also proved effective in standard situations - defenders Lassana Faye and Kaan Tanriver scored from a situation after a corner and a free kick - and scored from a quick conversion, with Karim Bannani sending right striker Arnaut Groeneveld alone towards the goalkeeper, who beat him beautifully and was able to tap in calmly.

The B2 has again scored three points and is performing above expectations. With 15 points the team is in 2nd place on the league table, only 1 point behind leaders FC Utrecht.
