Today Roda JC (A) is our opponent, this is the leader of our series and we are 2nd, so we can say a real winner. After 2 lesser games, it is time to show again how well we can play football.

We started the game brightly, put pressure on Roda, and showed from the first minute that we were not going to give anything away today. In the first few minutes we had a few chances, but there was always a yellow leg in the way and we did not score, although we came very close. Now it is important to stay focused because a wrong pass at the back even allowed Roda to come close to scoring the opening goal. In the 8th minute we are in possession of the ball again in midfield Jaivy sees that Sven is going into the deep and sends the ball with a nice cross to it, Sven immediately sends the ball towards goal but the Roda goalkeeper manages to stop the ball. Jaivy ran on well after playing the ball and was now in the right place to cleverly tap the ball in 1-0. After this goal we kept the pressure on the Roda goal and got some chances. In the 12th minute a free kick by Jaivy hit the bar and it was bad luck that the ball did not go in. But Roda also hit the bar twice, so we can also call it bad luck. In the 20th minute we got a corner to take, Julian put the ball perfectly at the first post, Sven knew what to do with it, with a nice header he scored in a brilliant way - 2-0 and with this we went to rest.

Coach Patrick was satisfied with the game shown, with some small instructions we start the 2nd half. After 1 minute the audience could see that the boys were not satisfied and wanted to score more, there were already 2 chances before 1 on the clock. In the 3rd minute Jaivy gives a nice pass on the other side of the field to the free Sven, with a magnificent move Sven passes his opponent and scores 3-0 , while I am still enjoying (and writing) this beautiful goal Sven has also scored the 4-0, unfortunately I missed this. Roda started to play more football and became a bit more dangerous, because we put less fast and fierce pressure on the ball, Roda could score twice with a long-distance shot 4-2 in the 15th minute Luc went forward and played together nicely and got the opportunity to shoot, but just wide. Luc also had an opportunity with a nice header, but it fell into the hands of the goalkeeper. Because Luc joins the attack the PSV organization at the back is gone, Roda takes advantage of this and scores the 4-3.
In the 19th minute Mees steamed forward and delivered a brilliant cross, another chance for Sven, and since Sven only scores beautiful goals, he again finished brilliantly 5-3. And rest.

In the break, coach Patrick said that we had to stay organized, because we were giving away 3 goals very easily. At the start of the third half we immediately showed that we know what the coach means, we continue to play in the organization and take over the positions. In the 45 minute a shot on goal by Julian with his left leg, the goalkeeper managed to get his foot against it but in the rebound Julian still managed to score, this time with his right leg (how so two-legged) 6-3. The 47 and 48 minutes are Jaivy's moments. In the 47 minute he scores by reacting well to a mistake in Roda's defense 7-3, and 1 minute later he turns free and with a nice kick into the far corner he kicks in the 8-3. Roda scores one more time 8-4. In the last minutes there are still some chances but either the bar or the goalkeeper or a sticking out leg stands in the way. Through good goalkeeping Lucas makes sure Roda does not score anymore. 8-4 is the final score.
Our boys have shown today that they can play football very well, and can literally and figuratively roll up their sleeves. Also a compliment to the only 13 year old referee who took care of the match. Next week the away game to PSV F1 they are eager for revenge.
