A win would allow PSV to take the lead in the league table, this is an opportunity that the entire group wants to grab with both hands.
The preparation is difficult with some injuries in our last line we go to Rotterdam.

In the early stages of the match, PSV takes full control of the initiative. From a good build-up, the PSV team regularly creates chances, in the switch to defending they put a lot of pressure on the ball which prevents Excelsior from playing the long ball to the center striker. This completely eliminates their attacking play. With very good attacking play, PSV continues the match. From fast combinations and a few times game changing, it is waiting for a goal. Tristan Berghuis scores the 1-0 in the 25th min.
In the final phase of the 1st half, PSV is able to extend the score with some chances from Dani, Ryan and Junior. Unfortunately the ball does not go in.

In the 2nd half, PSV continues to play very good football. In midfield Paal and Naciri are fantastic, later in the match Kaan is filling in very well.
PSV plays as a team, the fielding is good and so is the willingness to work for each other. Our outside players were in good form, both Junior and Ryan had a lot of actions with depth so there was constant threat. Again it is a pity that our attacking play did not produce goals.
