  1. Match report

Today the distant away match to FC Twente was on the program for PSV U12. So all players had to get out of bed early, as the match started at 10:00 am. In the beginning it seemed that the PSV players were still bothered by the long journey to Hengelo, Twente was therefore immediately dangerous in the first minutes, because Kevin had come directly and thus had a shorter journey, he was not bothered by the travel. Kevin responded very well to Fc Twente's first attack and prevented a quick deficit. Twente put pressure on the PSV defense very early on, the boys visibly struggled, partly because they wanted to keep playing football from behind. After 7 minutes the PSV players got better into their game and the pressure from Twente was slightly less, the first PSV attack was immediately dangerous, in my opinion PSV deserved a penalty, but the referee on duty saw it differently, the otherwise well-functioning referee had a different opinion than I did, but maybe I look too much through colored glasses. But Joris was clearly blocked in the 16meter,so no chance to take out and score. After this the game quickly went up and down with chances for both teams, Twente shot a good chance high over and Joey was well defended after a very good attack by PSV. Unfortunately Nassim's almost perfect cross ball was a little too hard, otherwise he would have put Joep free in front of goal. With the same halftime score as the start the players went to rest 0-0 so.
In the 5th minute after halftime a free kick for Twente, it looked more dangerous than it was, the ball ended up right in Lander's hands. Because PSV was not fierce enough, Twente got too much space to play football, which made Twente the better team in the beginning of the second half. After a good attack a Twente player managed to work in via the underside of the crossbar to make it 1-0. The PSV players now realized that they had to be a bit brighter to get a good result back to Brabant. PSV started to put pressure on Twente earlier, and gave away less space, the boys fought for every ball and showed they were in the right spirit. In the 50th minute the well-deserved equalizer came, it was Martijn who reacted alertly when the Twente goalie let the ball go from a corner, 1-1. The last 10 minutes PSV fought with a lot of character and willpower to score the winning goal, in the last minutes it looked like this was going to happen, a free kick from standout Dylan landed at the 2nd post, for Martijn a chance to tap the ball in, but the ball went a few centimeters wide unfortunately. So after the final whistle the scoreboard read 1-1. A good game for the boys, with a lot of physical resistance they showed that they can stand their ground. Next week the last league match of the season, at home against Pec Zwolle at 11:00 am. The boys can use the support again because they want to end the season with a positive result.
