Today the friendly match against CDW from Wijk bij Duurstede was on the program. PSV started well and could put the opponent under pressure right away. After 2 minutes PSV got a corner kick taken by Matteo. With an excellent header Niek managed to get the ball into the goal 1-0. CDW that kept on playing good football the whole match could do something back after 8 minutes. A well played and finished counter brought CDW alongside 1-1. After that CDW got another huge chance but the ball hit the crossbar.

In the second half both teams failed to score despite the good opportunities. CDW hit the post and Niek managed to get a shot off the goal line. PSV in turn had three opportunities to score from close range but these chances went wide. PSV was not sharp enough and after 40 minutes the score was still rightly tied.

In the third half, PSV started to play better football and PSV took the lead again from a wonderful goal. Ruben was able to break through from the right and deftly passed two opponents. Then he managed to place the ball in the top left corner with a well-aimed arch 2-1. Great goal.
CDW did everything they could to equalize and had a good opportunity to do so. After that they could not really be dangerous anymore. Shortly before the end Seb scored the final goal. On a pass from Niek Seb was able to put the ball into the left corner from close range, 3-1.

Today both teams had a nice and exciting match. Enjoyed the effort and work ethic. Congratulations to PSV and compliments to everyone.
