Location: Sportpark Merelweg in Venlo
The B2 played Saturday for the cup against the B1 of VVV-Helmond Sport. Despite the year age difference the team held their own in Venlo, and after a mediocre first half they played a good second half.

The first half produced few clear-cut chances from either side. PSV did become dangerous twice from a free kick just outside the penalty area. In the 15th minute Vincent Heilmann curled the ball with a nice kick just wide of the goal, and a few minutes later Philippe Rommens did the same from almost the same position. The biggest chance of the first half, however, was for VVV/Helmond Sport, which could have opened the scoring in the 40th minute when the ball was brought into the box from the left side but was poorly shot in and landed wide of Kevin Doré's goal. PSV was still upset at that point by the fact that striker Vincent Heilmann suffered what appeared to be a serious knee injury a few minutes earlier during a duel that left the players quite impressed. Vincent was immediately taken to the hospital and examined, and by all appearances the injury was not too bad in the sense that the ligaments in his knee were stretched.

Somewhat recovered from the shock, PSV then played a better second half, perhaps because the home team opened the scoring after only 5 minutes. Hunting for the equalizer, a number of good chances were created, but in the 30th minute the Venlo goalkeeper, among others, prevented with an excellent save that Maarten Peijnenburg headed the 1-1 into the crossbar from a corner. In the end, we had to wait until 1 minute before the end of game time before the deserved equalizer was made. On the edge of the penalty area the ball fell at the feet of substitute Arnaut Groeneveld who did not think twice and shot the ball hard and beautifully into the top right corner, 1-1.
