The topper today. The number one against the number two. PSV against Feyenoord. Always a topper, good for spectacle. And today? The first half was less good from our side. Feyenoord had more masculine players than us. Feyenoord played driven and they didn't really give us the chance to play our game. Thus, very few chances come our way. This is true for both teams. Yet we go into the break with a 0 - 1 deficit. In the 15th minute a corner (stationary situation) is the cause of this deficit. Jesse cannot hold on to the ball and the number 8 is the first to shoot the ball in. After halftime we want to do things differently. And we do. We are more threatening and the first chances come. Feyenoord have to back off a bit more and we get chances. But our strikers' sights are not set straight today. In the last minute, Albian rounded off a good attack but hit the inside of the post.
This leaves us with empty hands when we certainly deserved one or even three points. With this defeat Feyenoord takes over the lead again and we are one point behind them.
But then on Wednesday. Against Celtic we need to get the three points to remain in the NextGen after the winter break. Let's give the public that will surely come to the stadium in large numbers an enjoyable game and then we will advance to the final of this beautiful European tournament for top youth teams in 2013.
