    PSV wins topper in Rotterdam

After a fine weekday victory over AZ last Tuesday, PSV's O15 team boarded the bus this time for the meeting with Feyenoord. The Rotterdammers had twelve points from seven matches. PSV was on ten from six and would do good business if they won today.

PSV started the match well. The team was dominant from the start and took an early lead. After the Feyenoord goalkeeper almost choked on a Sven Simons free kick, he had no chance in the tenth minute. PSV created a good attack on the left side of the pitch. Koen Jansen finally crossed and Jason van Duiven tapped the ball in: 0-1. Even after that, PSV remained the better footballing team. And it had an excellent chance to make it 0-2 in the 21st minute. Jason was tackled in the penalty area and PSV was awarded a penalty. Unfortunately, captain Livano Comenencia saw his penalty turned away. Feyenoord came sporadically in front of the Eindhoven goal. It was able to score a shot and was threatening once when the speedy right-winger dribbled into the goal area. At the other end, Jason was close to his second goal when he headed a cross from Isaac Babadi over. PSV also saw a free kick by Sven hit the bar just before time. Both teams went into the break with just 0-1.

In the second half, the start was a bit messy. Feyenoord started brighter and shot at goal twice without really being dangerous. In the 40th minute PSV was threatening again when Jason was unable to give the ball enough momentum with his head after some fine passing by Lars Putters. After Niek made a good save, PSV made it 0-2 in the 53rd minute. Good pressure from Sven Simons resulted in possession well into the Feyenoord half and the ball passed Isaac to Jason, who played it to the free Jesper Uneken. Jesper calmly pushed the ball past the keeper to make it 0-2. In the last fifteen minutes Feyenoord tried to force something. But Niek Schiks saved the ball with his foot on a shot from close range and in the counter attack Shi-jon Martina got the ball to Jason who again brought Jesper in. But this time he too hit the goalkeeper. In the end, the final chord was for Isaac Babadi who put the final score at 0-3 in the 66th minute. And how! Lars Putters crossed the ball to Isaac who with a simple foot movement, but with a lot of feeling, poked the ball over the goalkeeper. The goalkeeper was just able to touch the ball, but had no chance on this magnificent stroke.

PSV deservedly and also won by large numbers from Feyenoord and is back at the top of the table competing for the title.
