After a week in Italy, where we had lessons in "provoking" and "the will to win at all costs" and for a midweek Doha we go to the Graafschap today on Sunday.
After Saturday's games there is only one task for us and that is to take the three points from Doetinchem to stay in the lead.
On a beautiful sports park and under a spring sun we start the match. In the first minute we make it clear with what purpose we came. Jordy hits the ball from a free kick right on the post. Then things slowed down and it took until the 17th minute for Moussa to pass to Niels, who calmly tapped the ball in.
And so we go into the break with a score of 0 - 1.
After the coach's explanation at halftime, we don't want to give our opponents any hope of getting any points today. We started energetically and within ten minutes Ryan made it 0 - 3. After a corner by Olivier the ball reached Jordy in the penalty area and his cracked shot was tapped in by Ryan. Moments later Mo gives a great cross to Moussa and from his cross Ryan is able to score again. (According to André not in the way he meant).
We play out the match quietly to avoid any further damage in view of the rest of the season.
The referee blows the whistle after ninety minutes and the three points go on the bus. Congratulations men.
We continue to compete at the top again. Next weekend a trip to Doha and for those left behind there is still the opportunity to get into the carnival spirit. For everyone have fun whatever you are going to do and see you next week. Alaaaaf and Houdoe.
