Today the first game of the playoffs was scheduled. In Venlo, VVV was the opponent. The match started well for PSV. After half a minute they already had the lead. Sven managed to shoot the ball in after a clever action, 0-1. PSV really dominated in the first five minutes and had several chances to double the lead. Unfortunately, Niek's distance shot just didn't go in. After about 7 minutes the goal did come: Jesper Uneken shot from the rebound, 0-2.

Halfway through the second half VVV Venlo got back in the game, 1-2. But a minute and a half later Lars shot PSV to a 1-3 lead. After 15 minutes in the second half Thijn scored after a blunder in the defense of VVV Venlo, 1-4. Just after the second break Jesper puts good pressure on the VVV goalie, who loses the ball and the ball ends up with Luc. He stays calm and makes it 1-5. A little later the VVV goalkeeper made another blunder and again Luc was the first to score, 1-6. After a sharp counter by PSV, Lars finally scores, 1-7.

With 12 minutes to play this is a very comfortable lead. One minute after the 1-7 Jesper shoots the 1-8. Because PSV did not pay attention for a moment, VVV gets the opportunity to score. They took that opportunity and then it was 2-8. But PSV does not give up, because after an excellent attack Luc makes it 2-9. Then VVV scores again, 3-9. In the closing stages, PSV manages to reach double digits. After another fluent attack Jesper gets the ball from Luc. Jesper does not hesitate for a moment and scores the 3-10.

Conclusion: PSV had an excellent victory over VVV! Only PSV should have handled the chances better. Otherwise the boys played a good match. Compliments!
