Today Roda JC came to visit with a big formation. Due to cancellation of their E1 and E2 they brought 18 players. In the first part of this match PSV was the better team but that did not result in scoring goals. After about 10 minutes the ball was easily played back to their goalkeeper by Roda. However, the ball rolled under the goalkeeper's foot into the goal and PSV was lucky to take the lead 1-0.

Also in the second half there were many chances for PSV but unfortunately they were not exploited. PSV failed to take further distance from Roda. Halfway through the second half Roda changed the entire team and brought a fully fit squad into the match. This helped Roda get into the game better and also provided good scoring opportunities. Shortly before the end of the second half, a distance shot was fired at our goal. Kevin was still at it with his right hand but the ball reached the free Roda attacker who was free to tap in from close range 1-1.

In the third, PSV was no match for the fit Roda and PSV couldn't get under the pressure anymore. Within 10 minutes Roda was able to run out to 1-5 and the game was played.

PSV showed for 40 minutes that they can play good football and we are proud of that. We perhaps took too little advantage of the opportunities to score ourselves. In the third, PSV lacked strength against Roda's generous formation. Therefore no reproaches to PSV but compliments. Enjoyed the football.
