  1. Match report

PSV did not start this match well and fell behind after only 2 minutes. Due to weak defense the MVV striker got free in front of our goalie and could easily finish off 1-0. More than 10 minutes later it became 2-0 for MVV after an attack from the left. At the end of the first half the first good opportunity for PSV to score came but unfortunately this chance was not taken.

In the 2nd half MVV got off to a good start and were able to increase the score. With a giveaway from our defense the MVV striker was able to score 3-0. A minute later, PSV did something back. From a corner kick by Joris, Mats was able to receive the ball and put it in 3-1. After half an hour MVV lost the ball in midfield and took advantage of an opportunity to make it 4-1. Not much later it was 5-1 for MVV from a well played counter. Shortly before the end of the 2nd, MVV shot at our goal from distance. This ball was saveable but eventually rolled in 6-1. A massacre was in the air.

Before the start of the 3rd half, the coach made it clear that we did not want to go home with double digits. One more time give everything for a better result. After 10 minutes MVV also joined in the festival of errors and gave the ball to Sven who was able to take advantage of it 6-2. Five minutes before the final whistle Thijn played a good cross to Luc, who was able to score 6-3. Shortly before the end Luc also scored the final goal. Again on a pass from Thijn, Luc shot from the spot to make it 6-4.

PSV played a difficult and unfortunate game today against a good opponent. Only the 3rd part we decided in our favor. We went into duels today when we should have stayed out of them. The tempo must be higher to get out from under the pressure of the opponent and you cannot let your man run. In short, those are the learning moments for PSV today. Congratulations to the opponent this time.
