Special 'pre-match' PSV-Utrecht
Houten F1, the team in which Mo and Joost both played last year, was this Sunday morning's guest for a special 'pre-game' of PSV- FC Utrecht. The Houten team was allowed to line up with FC Utrecht in the PSV stadium today. So what could be better than a pre-match PSV - Houten?
Unfortunately, according to well-informed sources, the grass of the PSV stadium could not handle this football violence, so this match was 'moved' to the Herdgang, where the accommodation was opened especially for this one match.
Trainer Willem went all in on this match and appointed 2 captains for this occasion: Joost and Mo. Together with Bram, Peter, Rafik, D'Leanu, Jur, Luuk, Mo N and Genrich they sportingly went to battle against a team that even after the departure of their PSV'ers is doing very well in the highest league.
It turned out to be a nice match, in which Houten managed to play well especially in the 1st half. In the 2nd half, PSV stepped up the pace, combined better and scored some nice goals. Despite pleas from the crowd, Mo in particular showed little compassion with his old teammates and managed to score 5 goals. With 4 goals from Luuk and a goal from Rafik, this resulted in the 'double digits' feared by Houten.
At least Houten managed to save the honor. Deservedly so. The team kept playing football until the end and did not lie down in front of the goal and lurk for a chance counter as we saw earlier this weekend.
Afterwards the youngest PSV players saw their Hout peers leave for the PSV stadium with some jealousy for an appearance on the main field.
By the way, among these FC Utrecht supporters, there turned out to be quite a few 'sneaky' PSV fans as well. They went home with a win after all, although after a much less goal-rich match.
