  1. Match report

Today, Saturday, September 19 the 2nd league match against city rival ESV E-1 was scheduled. Before the match it looked like a physically strong opponent, as 4 players were a head taller than our boys. However, our boys were not impressed and went full steam ahead right from the start. By interfering early on and keeping pressure on the ball, precarious situations arose immediately in front of the enemy goal. Despite the passing not going well at first, the goal was scored in the 5th minute. Bryan, who had received the ball from a pass from Koen, immediately laid it wide to Sem who in turn outsmarted the ESV goalkeeper for the first time with a hard and low shot to the right, 1-0. After this goal PSV kept the pressure on the opponent and the passing also improved. Our team's defense with Joey, Koen and Tijn was also well put together, and the opponent had few clear-cut chances. And when there were chances, it was Kyan who parried them sublimely. Also, the aforementioned ( Kyan) knew with accuracy to put the ball back in play immediately so the opponent did not have a moment of rest.
Still it took until the 19th minute before our boys could make the supporters cheer again. Joey delivered a high cross from the right which disappeared over the keeper into the top left corner, 2-0.
Then just before halftime a cross from Tijn to Bryan who slid the ball wide to Arne who immediately lashed out hard at the enemy goal. However, the goalkeeper did a fantastic job of turning this shot away. After half time Sem played in the back and Koen moved to midfield. Again the same picture as before half time. This resulted in the 28th minute, after a foul by the opposition, in a free kick for PSV at ± 15 m distance on the right side of the enemy goal. Bryan, in charge of the free kick, shot hard and high just under the crossbar into the goal, 3-0. After this, the chances continued to follow in quick succession, also because the condition of the opponent was getting worse. In the 34th minute, Sem and Yassin again interfered early on and the ball was passed to Arne. He lashed out hard at the enemy goal, but once again good goalkeeping made the shot harmless. Another goal was not long in coming. Less than 3 minutes later Tijn passed to Koen from behind, who rounded his man and passed to Arne. He too rounded his opponent and slid the ball in a controlled way into the goal, 4-0. Then our defense was inattentive and the other team was able to take a shot on goal. But Kyan was on the ball and parried this shot superbly. Then in the 40th minute a throw from Kyan to Koen, who made a few meters and took a devastating shot, 5-0.
Yassin did not have luck on his side today, with beautiful actions and view of the game he did not get the goal he deserved. In the meantime Davy had also come into the field, who was allowed to make his minutes again by trainer Bastiaan after a long period of illness. In the 46th minute this resulted in a hard distance shot by the same Davy against the underside of the crossbar. This ball jumped back into the field via the ground and was immediately headed back in by Arne, 6-0. This was also the final score. Boys, because of your effort and playing together this was a good match and we as spectators enjoyed it. Keep up the good work! The next opponent can get ready for the next match.
