    The Report

This weekend PSV O15 headed to Amsterdam for the match against AFC. Not as usual with trainers Edwin de Wijs and Vincent Heilmann, but this time with Mart van Duren and Joonas Kolkka, due to a combination of illness and a match at the same time.

On a difficult pitch it was PSV that immediately took the initiative. That quickly produced chances, but the sights of Jason Pigmans and others were not quite set today. Eventually it took until the 13th minute before the Eindhoveners took the lead. A corner by Mathijs Tielemans ended up at the feet of Jason Pigmans. After an action in the penalty area he sent in a good cross from the back line, which was tapped in by Fodé Fofana. Because the guests were sloppy with the opportunities in the final phase, the lead was limited to one goal. PSV had to watch out for the few attacks by AFC.

After halftime, the picture was the same: PSV carefully looking for a goal and AFC lurking on the counter. Fodé could have put an end to the game early on, but his effort hit the post in the 37th minute. The second goal came in the 54th minute. A beautiful, strong individual action by Amin Doudah was the basis of the Eindhoven goal. After a good push by Amin, Kees van Lindert was able to get in front of his opponent and score from close range: 0-2. PSV still had chances to score more goals, but were unable to find the net. Because AFC also failed to convert the occasional chances they did get, the game ended in a relatively easy 0-2 victory.

This keeps PSV on the trail of Ajax, which also made no mistake this weekend. The next game is due to Carnival on Saturday, March 4. Then Vitesse will visit De Herdgang.
